The Greyfyre™ has a 16 inch, 416-R stainless steel fluted bull barrel chambered in .223 Wylde, with a 1:8 twist rate. This barrel comes with a 25,000 round 1-inch MOA guarantee. It features a low-profile .750 carbine-length gas system. The barrel is matched with a Nickel-Boron, Teflon-coated Bolt Carrier Group (BCG). This provides a high level of heat, cold and chemical resistance. It also provides the well known non-stick characteristics of Teflon, allowing it to stay cleaner and cooler. We’ve combined that with a Rise 140 Trigger system. The 140 is a single-stage (flat or curved) trigger that has a standard 3.5 pound pull, with a noticeably short reset. Standard on the Greyfyre™ is the UTG Contoured Nonslip grip, matched with the Adaptive Tactical EX Performance Adjustable Stock.
The Greyfyre™ features a cross-bolt safety, which is very easy to use for righties and lefties, with no need to let go of the grip. It features a low-profile hex pattern ultralight free-floating heat shield manufactured from 6061 aluminum. Although it is very light, it is extremely robust. Less weight gives you a better balanced gun.
The muzzle break is a two-piece system that features “sound-forwarding”. It makes shooting this rifle much more pleasant. The buffer system features the “silent” buffer. It’s an all-in-one H2 buffer system that is noticeably quieter than standard, and far less prone to spring failure.
The upper and lower receivers are manufactured from 7075-T6 aluminum. The upper, lower and heat shield are Cerakoted Titanium E-250. This gives a look that is rather unique, as well as making it much more resistant to corrosion. The lower parts are stainless steel. The upper features no forward assist for a much cleaner look. We both know you never used it anyway.
